im thinking about buying the i-pad, but im not sure if its any good or just a fancy looking gadget. and i realy dont know anything about computers or what so ever so can any1 tell me if its worth buying it?? http://www.apple....pad/specs/

It looks great, but I guess it's down to what you will use it for.
We have a Mac (G4) it's nearly 7yrs old and has never broken down, continuous reliable service and only recently have we thought of maybe upgrading as it feels a little slow. We don't use it for gaming though, just photos, video and internet and graphic design.
I have used Macs for 15yrs, and just wish that new games were published for them the same time as they are for PC - if they were, I would have to ditch the pc.

tho Pea, Macs are overpriced as hell (here they can cost like 3 times more than pc with same cpu, ram...), and iPad is just a fancy gadget, no multithreading... it's like 4 iPhones taped together

It's not Doc, iPad doesn't support normal OSX (it's runnig modified iPhoneOS), which means that it's mostly an oversized iPhone... (ie. no flash support, no multithreading - running few programms at once etc). If you want apple notebook, buy macbook or macbook pro (which are much more expensive).
