"Finally we can say EVERYTHING is cleared" - Sheeniecakes 07/04/09
We finally killed Sarth 3d on 10man tonight. After 50 wipes in 2 days this had become a personal mission for all of us to prove we could beat the dps timer without stacking melee.
So we went back in tonight and got a 2% banish wipe on the first pull. Fenix then says "I have to go out drinking in 15mins just made plans" (/wrists).
So we worry about what who we can get to tank and why we have wasted flasks while waiting for heroism cooldown. Away we go again.....on the 2nd heroism try we get a 1% banish wipe (49k hp left and 4 pyro resists for Vlab- l2+hit!). This really isnt going to be our night.....
So we are basically down to our 3rd and seemingly last try of the night as Fenix decides breaking his leg while drunk is more exciting than a night of 1minute wipes! In true last pull Nuts fashion we go in and kill the dragon before it banished at that magical 85 second mark with 3 seconds to spare (only 6 secs off the world record xD ).
Some may say that since its a brute force tactic that it takes something away from the encounter, maybe it does, but my experience was that it is as intense and "hard" as the "normal tactic", just in a different way.
It took a lot of effort, frustration and comsumables from all and was actually good fun.
Big Grats to Lollyn, Sheenie, Misanthrope, Darkzealot and Nimh for completely Glory of the Raider before the patch and getting their drake reward. They really worked hard at it and I know they had some tough times since starting the first achievements so I'm glad we have been able to help them finish it.
Il throw in a final thanks to all who contributed to the kill with th endless wipe sessions in the last few months, particularly Miguel who respecced endlessly to get groups going each week, with get you the kill next week mate!
Was great to get that thrill of a hard earned 1st kill again and cant wait for many more in 3.1
Oh and gypsy boi Phonebox er I mean Fenix got the 10man mount to sit alongside his 25man mount - lucky git!
